PURPOSE :
The foundation Clair Obscur has multiple missions with it's focus to raise cultural and social issues for a broad international public, using film, television, interactive and new media.
In addition Claire Obscur supports and manages the digitalization trajects of documentaries and long features films, so these projects will be preserved for the Dutch cultural heritage and our future generations.
The foundation has no objective of profit and serves exclusively the general interest.

Back to the Roots a documentary series which endeavour’s to shift homo sapiens thinking, and to change the viewers behaviour towards plants and nature in general, so that nature will then be beneficial for the continuation of us all.
The series brings us to some of the most respected and honoured female healers on the planet. She is the South African sangoma, the Hispanic curandera, the South Asian dai and dyamaju, the Mayan granny healer, the Appalachian granny midwife, the French sage femme, the Japanese samba, the Polish babka or the pampamesayok or the female healers from the Andes.
